Flying into the Masai Mara brought a lump to my throat , its hard to explain the feeling , a mixture between extremely grateful privileged and totally awed , I couldn’t believe that I was actually here .

What a wonderful place the open area and space overwhelms you and you realize there must be a God who created such a beautiful place.

We were met at the primitive air strip by our host from Andbeyond and allocated to vehicles and guides , our guide is Joseph and with 15 years of experience behind him in the Mara we are sure to have some great sightings in the next 7 days .

we went on a short game drive before heading to the lodge , just out of the air strip we found a jackal family , mom ,dad and three pups , little did we know of the misfortune that would hit this family the next day

The Mara is truly an awesome place ,its hard to explain the vastness and its beauty the photos also don’t do it justice ,you have to see it for yourself.

We boarded our plane at 1am Saturday ready to depart for the greatest adventure of my life. I was on my way to Kenya to see the Great wildebeest migration in the Masai Mara Kenya.

The lake is a massive site and is not only host to the largest colony of Lesser flamingoes but also holds thousands of greater flamingoes and pelicans.

The nature reserve is also host to the colabis monkey and various other mammal species
